Our Campus
Caldwell Academy is located on the very fringe
of the northwest city limits of Greensboro. The campus features
neo-classical buildings that help to reflect the school’s
classical, Christian philosophy. The general area has recently seen
rapid development and local land usage is a residential, agricultural,
and commercial mix. The main campus site is 13.05 acres consisting
of primarily open, slightly sloping topography. Site planning has
provided for play and activity areas to be located well away from
general traffic and the adjacent wooded areas and creek provide
excellent learning opportunities. There are currently seven buildings
on campus of which two, Founder’s Hall and Smith Classroom
Building, are permanent pieces in our long-term campus plan. At
present, there are 35 total classrooms located in six different
buildings. Nine of our classrooms are housed in modular structures,
which provide versatile space for our various specialty classroom
needs. The school has recently acquired 24.74 acres to the east
side of Horse Pen Creek road that will accommodate future growth
needs.
The campus is inspected annually by the local Fire Marshal, the North Carolina Department of Health, and by our liability and property insurance carrier. Upon invitation, both the Greensboro special operations unit and the Guilford county emergency services unit have inspected our campus and assisted in development of our various emergency procedures.
